Base on the incredible true story of the 20 July 1944 plot, it was the last of 15 known attempts by germans to assassinate Adolf Hitler during the World War 2. There is widespread disgust in the officer corps toward the crimes committed by the Nazis. They want to show the world that not all of them were like Adolf Hitler, the Führer.

By the summer of 1944, Colonel Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) member of the German army as well as various political figures and civilians had solidified into group with the best chance to seize power of the military command in order to end the war by rewriting the operation Valkyrie and assassinate Adolf Hitler. Operation Valkyrie was contingency plan to mobilize the German Reserve Army in the event of an internal disturbance or national emergency.
